Tomb of Suleyman Celebi
The mausoleum of Süleyman Çelebi, who wrote Mevlüd, is on Çekirge Street. Süleyman Çelebi, who was from Bursa, was the son of Vizier Ahmet Pasha. He wrote Mevlüd in Bursa in 1409. The grave of Süleyman Çelebi, who was the imam of Ulucami during the reign of Yıldırım Bayezid, was previously known as Yoğurtlu Baba Cemetery. Between 1945 and 1952, a mausoleum was built in the same place with the participation of the governor Haşim İşcan and philanthropists from Bursa. There is a marble cist in the centre of the eight-legged tomb. The garden of the tomb in the middle of the great cypresses is surrounded by a carved geometric motif railing.
