Zafertepe Çalköy Victory Monument
It was built on the 1181-altitude hill in Zafertepeçalköy, where the Battle of the Commander-in-Chief was directed and managed. It was built in 1964 and opened to visitors in 1968. It is the site of the August 30 Victory Day ceremonies. The Victory Monument, which evokes the feeling of a flaming torch and the distant view of the flaming weapons, symbolizes our war of liberation in its true meaning. The triangular blocks in different directions that make up the monument as a whole portray the August 30 Victory that our nation won by uniting as one against the injustice and outrage against our nation. The monument is a monument that tells future generations that in the face of the bad influences that may occur internally and externally against the Turkish nation, it can eventually unite and triumph.
