Ali Nacar Mosque
Located next to the alleben creek just below the Gaziantep castle, Ali Nacar Mosque is a mosque you should stop by on a charming Antep trip. Ali Nacar Mosque is located in Yaprak Mahallesi, on the left side of the Alleben Stream relative to the current. It is seen in the documents that it was built by a carpenter named Ali. The Hijri date 1213 is written on the staircase leading to the muezzin's mahfil. It can be calculated that this Hijri date is the repair date of the mosque. It is possible to understand from the bullet wounds that the mosque and its minaret were affected by the Antep Defense.
The first construction of the mosque is not known with certainty. Its first construction can be dated to the 14th century. It is said to have been built by a carpenter named Ali Neccar. It used to be called Aliyünnacar. It has a repair inscription dated 1816. In addition, there are inscriptions dated 1817 on the altar and 1819 on the preacher pulpit.
