Boyacı Mosque

Boyacı Mosque The Boyacı Mosque, located on Hamdi Kutlar Street, was built by Kadı Kemaleddin, according to a rumor, and by Boyacı Yusuf, according to another rumor. There is an inscription that it was completed in 1357 during the Mamluk period. In another inscription, it is stated that it was repaired in 1575. One of the most important features of this mosque is that it has a minbar, which is rare in the world. This pulpit is built into the wall by means of a rail. On Fridays, the pulpit is opened by pulling over these rails and after the imam delivers the sermon, it is pushed back into place. This saves space.
