Derviş Bey Mosque

It is learned from the inscription that the Derviş Bey Mosque, located near the Alabalık Stream, southwest of Ardahan Castle in Ardahan city center, was built by Derviş Bey in 1868.

A two-storey last congregation place was added in front of the square-planned, smooth cut stone, wooden-roofed mosque in the late periods. To the north of the place of worship, there is a women's mahfili carried by four columns, two free and two adjacent to the wall. The interior of the mosque is illuminated by eight windows. The mihrab has no architectural feature. The wooden pulpit is decorated with 19th century western influenced ornamentation.
