İkioluklu Atik Mosque

Also known as Atik Mosque, the mosque is located on Altın Sokak in Camiatik Mahallesi. II. The mosque, which was used as a military equipment warehouse during World War II, consists of a rectangular-planned harim in the north, the narthex and a minaret in the northeast. Stone and brick materials were used in the construction of the building. Towards the end of the 1960s, a two-storey narthex was added, its altar was covered with tiles in 1996 and its wooden elements were renewed. The round-planned fountain located in its courtyard was later covered with a reinforced concrete cone. On each face of the 14-sided marble fountain, bowls are placed in the sliced-arched depression. Its dome is protected by an unreal physical architecture supported by eight pillars. The top of the mosque is covered with a tile hipped roof. The east, west and south façades are animated with rectangular windows, the mihrab wall is protruding on the south façade, and the southwest and southeast corners are chamfered. Its minaret has a square base, octagonal shoes, a cylindrical body and a single balcony.
