Kursunlu Monastery
The historical monastery, which draws attention with its imposing appearance, is located in Kuşadası district. Although there is no clear information about the date of its construction, the monastery, which is thought to be an 11th century building, can be reached after a difficult climb. It is estimated that the monastery served actively until the 19th century. It is estimated that the monastery remained from the Byzantines. In the monastery, all the parts that may be necessary for human life have been considered. It is thought that the monastery, which is 600 meters above the sea, was built in the name of the Virgin Mary. In the monastery, where the necessary care and attention is not paid, especially the frescoes attract the attention of the visitors.
