Nuri Mehmet Pasha Mosque
Nuri Mehmet Pasha Mosque, located on Suburcu Street, was built by Nuri Mehmet Pasha shortly before 1786, as it is learned from the Sharia Registries. There are two more inscriptions dated 1785 on the minaret of the mosque and 1834 on the mihrab. It is understood from these inscriptions that the mosque was built by Nuri Mehmet Pasha in the second half of the 18th century. The mosque has lost its originality with the repairs made in different periods. It was damaged during the French occupation of Gaziantep, it was used as a military warehouse for a while after the occupation, it was used as a museum between 1958-1968 after the proclamation of the Republic, then it was restored and put into service with its old name. mosque. . There is the tomb of Nuri Mehmet Pasha in the walled burial ground to the east of the mosque courtyard. The renovation that started on November 12, 2007 at the Nuri Mehmet Pasha Mosque, which has been worshiped until today, was completed in October 2008 and opened for worship again.
