Şirvani Mosque

It is located in Seferpaşa Neighborhood, west of Gaziantep Castle. Because it is the only mosque with two balconies among the historical Gaziantep mosques, it is also known as the "Two Honored Mosque" among the people. The name of the person who built the mosque is Şirvani Mehmet Efendi.

According to the rumor, Şirvani Seyit Mehmet Efendi, Hz. Muhammad's grandson, Hz. He is descended from Hussein. It is understood from the documents that the construction date of the mosque is before 1677. According to a legend, it is said that the mosque was buried in its foundation with enough gold and silver to rebuild it in case it was destroyed for any reason.
