Tekirdağ Orta Mosque

It is located in Orta Cami Neighborhood, on Government Street. Upon the demolition of the mosque built by Kürkçü Sinan Bey in 1856, the mosque was rebuilt in its old place by benevolent citizens. The mosque has a rectangular plan and has a flat wooden ceiling. The hipped roof is covered with Turkish style tiles. Rubble stone was used as the building material. The windows are round brick arched and framed. There is a porch with two wooden columns in front of the crown door in the north. The steps adjacent to the western wall of the mosque lead to the women's gathering place. The wooden ceiling of the mosque is ornamented, and on the east and west walls there are recessed column capitals with acanthus leaves. The thin minaret of the mosque is made of cut stone and has a single balcony.
