Adatepe Olive Oil Museum
The Olive Oil "Factory-Museum", a first in Turkey, has been hosting tens of thousands of local and foreign visitors since 2001.
Olive and olive oil culture goes so deep that it is expressed in various ways in all scriptures written. Despite the fact that our country has such an old and deep-rooted culture, the scarcity of written and visual materials about this product has led to the birth of Adatepe Olive Oil Museum. While the historical soap shop building in Küçükkuyu is being restored, dry-pressed olive oil production continues, various tools and equipment related to the production of olives, olive oil and soap collected from the surrounding villages are exhibited at the factory.
Old olive presses, olive picking tools, transport and storage containers, various folkloric objects can be seen in the museum. At the same time, the traditional olive oil soap making method is explained and exhibited.
Production stages of olive oil, storage, transfer, filtering etc. It will be both educational and enjoyable for local and foreign visitors to see and listen to the story of the olive coming from the branch to our table and to taste it with fresh village bread.
