Afyon Çeşmeli Mansion

Çeşmeli Konak, A fountain was built by Kahvecioğlu İsmail Efendi, who was engaged in silk and fabric trade, for charity purposes, and then a mansion was built for his family. There are two dates, Hijri and Rumi, on the inscription on the entrance door of the mansion. It is understood from here that the mansion was completed in 1906 Gregorian. It is one of the exemplary buildings with social purpose facade architecture, with an upper floor overhanging, a roof room on the balcony recess in the middle of the canopy, and a cut stone covered fountain under it. Due to its external appearance and street integrity, in terms of the importance of its environmental quality, it has been registered as an ancient artifact that needs to be protected by the decision of the High Council of Real Estate Antiquities and Monuments, dated 25.06.1983 and numbered A-4432. The fountain, which was registered as an ancient artifact to be protected by the decision of the High Council of Real Estate Antiquities and Monuments on 11.07.1980 and numbered A-2314, is referred to as "Sülüm Fountain II" in the records at the Afyonkarahisar Museum. Çeşmeli Konak, which was a single residence when it was first built, was divided into two parcels vertically in the middle by inheritance in the following years and turned into two separate residences with separate doors.
