Amasya Archeology Museum

It is possible to see the works of many civilizations belonging to the Bronze Age, Hittite, Urartu, Phrygian, Scythian-Cimmerian, Persian, Pontus, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman periods together from the Late Neolithic Early Chalcolithic Age. The most interesting place of the museum is the section where the mummies belonging to the people who made the emirate and their relatives are found. In addition, the Elmalı Mosaic from the Roman Period, which is in the collection of the Amasya Museum, is one of the rare examples in its group of works. The apple tree on this mosaic shows us that the apple was an important fruit 1700 years ago in Amasya, which is identified with the famous muscat apple.
