Located in Uzungöl, one of the most important tourist centers in Turkey, 90 km from Trabzon city center, the museum is built on an area of nearly 4000 square meters. In the museum, which consists of three main sections, the Uzungöl wooden house that was built to reflect the local architecture, the archaeological artifacts that Dursun Ali Inan collected for thirty years and fulfilled his dream of building the museum to preserve the heritage of the region, the sculptures and furniture that he made himself from the roots of trees. In addition to collected pieces of nature, history, culture and geography in Uzungol. There is written and visual content about animals, plants, social life and many more.
In the main building where the first section is located, Uzungol's history and geography, migrations made in Çaykara in the past 100 years, years of occupation, wars, artifacts, childhood, dowries and wedding culture in Uzungol, cuisine culture, religious and civil architecture, carpentry, milling culture, Wildlife in Uzungöl, agriculture and animal husbandry, beekeeping, first tourist activities in Uzungöl and the life story of Dursun Ali Inan. In addition, in this section, for the first time in the world, there is a figurine of android kemençe violin player specially designed for a museum. The eyes, feet, fingers, head and whole body move according to the rhythm of the music while this figurine plays the violin and sings.
In the second part, the House of Culture, which was built entirely according to the local architecture and includes a greenhouse, a warehouse, a tandoori room and a barn, reveals the life of Uzungöl from 100 years ago. On the right side of the House of Culture, there is a honeycomb waterfall, a wooden bridge built according to ancient architecture, and a stone pool. In the third section, the roots of trees and stones found in the area, which Dorsun Ali Annan discovered over a period of 25 years, are presented. The story of the roots of the trees in this section arose from the idea of evaluating the roots of the tree that emerged after the great avalanche of Uzungöl in 1993. These works, done entirely by Dursun Ali Inan, are displayed in an area designed in a modern style. There are also 5 places selling local products, an open cafeteria, water channels and parking in the museum. There is also a hotel of the same name opposite the museum for those who want to spend several days to explore beautiful Trabzon and enjoy the lake, which is about 10 minutes walking from here.
