Eğitim Cartoons Museum
Cartoon museum building; It was created from the restoration and renovation of a wooden building, which is estimated to have been built in the early 1900s and used as a residence. It has two floors and its total area is 265 square meters. The building type is an Eskişehir Odunpazarı house. It is in the area where the city was first established. The museum is a subsidiary of the Center for Research and Application of Cartoon Art, which is a first in Turkey. There are always exhibitions, variable exhibition sections, portraits room, Turkish cartoon masters room, Eskişehir cartoonists room and library sections in the museum. Spaces where caricature works can be done are also designed in the museum. While the works in the cartoon archive are exhibited in the museum, the exhibitions of local and foreign cartoonists are also carried out intermittently in the downstairs hall. Thus, a living museum with frequent changes is aimed. The museum is also used for research purposes. A library has been created for this purpose. Books, postcards, posters and souvenirs can also be purchased by the visitors in the museum. All over the world, such specialist museums are growing through donations. This museum also accepts donations such as original cartoons, books, posters, newspapers and magazines.
