Erzincan Museum
Erzincan Museum, which was opened in 1986, is an ideal place to get information about the city's thousands of years of history with its rich archaeological and ethnographic collections. Located in a beautiful location within a short walk from the city center, the museum was opened after the restoration of an impressive Ottoman building built in the early 19th century. In the exhibitions of the Erzincan Museum spread over a wide area, you can see many objects from thousands of years old metal artifacts to ancient coins, from sheep and ram sculptures unique to the region to marble works. In the ethnography section that reflects the centuries-old culture and traditions of Erzincan, the museum, where you can also examine examples of carpets, rugs, weapons, local clothes and daily items, can be visited between 09:00 and 19:00 in summer and between 08:30 and 17:00 in winter.
