Erzurum Art and Sculpture Museum
Erzurum Painting and Sculpture Museum and Gallery, located in the 23 July Erzurum Congress Building, the first building where the Erzurum Congress was held, stands out among Erzurum museums. It is known that the building was built in 1864 by Mıgırdiç Sanasaryan in 1864 and served as a school. The building, which suffered a fire in 1924, came back to life as another school in 1926. It also served as Fine Arts High School.
The congress building, which was opened to visitors as the Atatürk and Erzurum Congress Museum in 1960, was transferred to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism between 2011 and 2013. There is a small Art and Literature Library in the building, which is now the Congress Building, Atatürk Painting and Sculpture Museum and Gallery Directorate.
