Hazeranlar Mansion

It was built in 1865 by Amasya Treasurer Hasan Talat Efendi. The mansion takes its name from Hezeran Hanım, who lived here for a long time. Hazeranlar Mansion is one of the most beautiful structures that reflect the characteristics of the local civil architectural works of the Ottoman Period with its four iwans and a middle sofa plan. It was built on the ancient fortification walls, over the basement, and between the two-storey wooden frame with adobe filling. The mansion is arranged in two parts as "haremlik" and "selamlık". It is in the type of building with four iwans, inner courtyard and closed to the outside. The restoration of the mansion was started in 1979 and was completed in 1984 and opened as a museum house where ethnographic artifacts are exhibited.
