Islamic Science History Museum

The Museum of the History of Science in Islam, built by Gaziantep Şahinbey Municipality, meets its visitors with an understanding of museology that includes scientific activities, inventions and discoveries in the Islamic cultural geography, and many firsts and innovations in its field. In the museum, there are groundbreaking works in the history of science and technique carried out by Muslim scientists in the fields of astronomy, geography, maritime, physics-mechanics, medicine and chemistry. In order to draw attention to the works of ancient civilizations in these areas and the approach of Muslim scientists, a different design and content application was applied in the museum. The museum visitor was asked to experience the environment of this period, and the space was designed accordingly and enriched with various interactive applications.

The Islamic Science History Museum, where the role of Islamic civilization in thousands of years of scientific and technical history is explained, takes its visitors on a journey in history with many inventions and inventions made by Muslim Scientists and which have survived to the present day with minor changes.
