İzmir İnciraltı Maritime Museum
After completing its active duty in order to promote and popularize maritime, the Aegean Frigate and Piri Reis submarine, which were decommissioned, were converted into Museum Ships. It was opened to visitors in 2007 with the joint work of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Southern Sea Area Command. It also includes an exhibition, conference halls, and a sea scouts shipyard. The first museum ships of Izmir and the Aegean Region welcome visitors from all age groups who are interested in maritime.
