Izmir Painting and Sculpture Museum
In Konak, the center of the city, next to the Atatürk Cultural Center, İzmir Painting and Sculpture Museum and Gallery serves in a three-storey building. In addition to the museum section, there are also two exhibition halls in the museum, and various courses are organized for traditional handicrafts such as illumination, miniature, tile work, marbling, silver thread, felt. More than 400 paintings, sculptures, ceramics and print works of artists of the period are exhibited in the museum, along with those of the great masters. In the rich collection of the museum, which is one of the most important collections of the country, there are valuable works of many artists from the Tanzimat Period artists to the Çallı Generation impressionists, from the Independent Painters and Sculptors Union to the D Group artists and the Yeniler Group.
