Kaymakamlar Travel House

The District Governor's House is an important example among Safranbolu Houses that reflect the history, culture, lifestyle and technology of the 18th and 19th century Turkish society. It is thought to have been built in the early 19th century. Its owner is Safranbolu Barracks Commander Hacı Mehmet Efendi. Since Hacı Mehmet Efendi was nicknamed "Kaim-Makam", his family; For this reason, their houses are called by this name among the people.
