Ministry of Culture Private Ali Gürer Museum
The touristic Ocak Village, which is approximately 40 kilometers away from the town of Kemaliye, is one of the most popular addresses in the daily excursions and one of the most visited places in the village, the Ocak Village Ali Güler Museum. More than 100 ethnographic works reflecting the traditional culture of both the village and Erzincan are exhibited in the exhibitions of the museum, which was opened in 1996 with the restoration of a classical 2-storey Kemaliye mansion. In the museum, where you can see impressive Atatürk busts, centuries-old oxcarts and relief paintings of famous Turkish elders, you can examine many objects from historical coins to local household items and benefit from the library of hundreds of books. You can visit the Ocak Village Ali Güler Museum between 08:00 and 17:00 every day of the week except Mondays.
