Mugla Museum

Located in the Müştakbey District of Muğla, Muğla Museum is also known as Turkey's first Nature and History Museum. The museum has been accepting its visitors since 1994. In the museum, where there are artifacts from many ancient cities in the region, especially the Stratonikeia Ancient City, there are also animal and plant fossils dating back 5-9 million years and unearthed in the excavations carried out in Kaklıcatepe in 1992. The museum resembles a sculpture paradise and there are 3 main sections around this garden. There is also an art gallery in the museum. The ethnography section in the museum allows to see important objects related to the daily life of Muğla.
