Müştak Baba Tomb
Müştâk Baba's family migrated from Hakkari to Bitlis in Hijri 1051 (M.1642). Following this migration, Müştak Baba was born in Bitlis in 1172/1759.
His real name is Muhammed Mustafa. His father is a person named Ibrahim. Müştak Baba, who lost his father at the age of ten, came under the protection of his grandfather, Hacı Süleyman, and received his basic education from Şems-i Bitlisî (Hacı Mahmud Hodja) in Bitlis and learned external sciences from him. When he was twenty years old, he joined Hacı Hasan-ı Şirvanî and turned to Sufism, and after completing his sulûk, he started his duty of guidance by passing the caliphate prayer rug.
Müştak Baba, who went to Baghdad upon a spiritual invitation, met with many scholars, wise, and virtuous people and made himself accepted by them with his knowledge. In the meantime, Nâkibü'l-Eşraf met Sheikh Hasan, had conversations with him personally, joined him and got his permission from him and left there.
Müştak Baba was in Trabzon and Istanbul, and was martyred in 1832 when he was 75 years old when he came to Muş as a road stop on his way back to Bitlis from Istanbul in 1247 H. (1832). Müştak Baba is a member of the Kadiri sect and the Müştakîler branch, which developed in accordance with its name, is widespread in our eastern provinces, especially in Muş and Erzurum.
Müştak Baba is also a member of Hacı Bayram Veli and his admirer. He comes to Ankara from time to time, visits his grave and receives his spiritual prayer. As a matter of fact, it is one of the greatest discoveries of this veli that during one of these visits, Hacı Bayram Veli said that Ankara would be alone (capital) with Istanbul in 1923, with a Gazel he sang at his grave.
