Nevşehir Museum

Nevşehir's old museum was in a historical building that served from 1967 to 1987 when a new building was opened as a museum.

There are two halls for archeology and ethnography in the museum. In the archeology section, works belonging to the Neolithic, Chalcolithic Bronze, Phrygian, Urartian, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods are exhibited. There are also some artifacts from Iran, Mesopotamia and Cyprus. In the Ethnography section, weapons lighting tools, handwritten books, local clothing, handicrafts, ornaments, and kitchen tools are exhibited.
