Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin Medicine and History Museum

It is the only work that has survived from the Ilkhanid Period in Amasya. Especially the front of the house is very valuable as a work of art. As a feature unique to Amasya Bimarhanesi, there is a kneeling human relief on the door keystone. It is known as the first hospital in Anatolia where music therapy was performed. In the museum, Sabuncuoğlu Şerefeddin, who was one of the important physicians of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet period and who was the chief physician for 14 years, has his own parts and is based on the drawings in the first Turkish surgical work, Sahne, in the Sabuncuoğlu Hall, where medical and surgical instruments in 10 different branches, which were commissioned, are exhibited and treatment methods are shown. There is the Sabuncuoğlu Clinic, where surgical operations and treatments are performed, and the Music Treatment Hall, where you can learn about the basic instruments of music used in music therapy and the Turkish Music tonalities applied in the treatment.
