Şebinkarahisar Atatürk House and Museum

On September 12, 1924, Atatürk House and Museum, which was used as the house where Atatürk stayed during his arrival in Şebinkarahisar, is a simple two-storey building made of wood in the very center of the district. Although the exact date of construction is not known, it is estimated that it was built at the end of the 19th century or at the beginning of the 20th century. In 1932, as a result of various works carried out in the house, the house was organized in accordance with the original at that time. On October 11, 1982, on the 58th anniversary of Atatürk's arrival in Şebinkarahisar, it was opened to visitors as "Atatürk House and Museum".

The part of the building and its garden are located on a high platform from the road. The entrance to the first floor is provided by a wide wooden door from the east, from the floor. From this floor, which is not actively used, a wooden spiral staircase leads to the second floor. However, the exit to the second floor is provided by a separate entrance from the north. There is a main entrance with a triangular pediment with a projecting front, carried by wooden columns, with 10 stone steps, from which a wooden door with two wings leads directly to the second floor. This is the floor that is used as the main museum and just above it is the attic floor, which is not visible from the front façade. This attic is accessed from the second floor by a wooden staircase with a spiral staircase. In the Atatürk House and Museum, some of the items used by Atatürk during his stay and some local ethnographic artifacts are exhibited.
