VGM Sheikh Saban-i Veli Foundation Museum
It is a museum that was opened in 2006 for the preservation and exhibition of foundation works in Kastamonu and its region, as well as the belongings used in Şeyh Şaban-ı Veli and his complex. Regional Directorate of Foundations, which has accomplished very important and valuable works in Kastamonu in recent years, evaluated these works with this museum. In Kastamonu, which is a foundation city, this museum is the area where this rooted and noble practice is best demonstrated. The museum serves in one of the mansions in the Sheikh Şaban-ı Veli Complex. A large part of the artifacts owned by the museum consists of artifacts collected from Kastamonu and some of them collected from the provinces where the Regional Directorate of Foundations is responsible. The main groups of works in the museum are oil lamps, manuscripts, personal belongings of Sheikh Şaban-ı Veli, carpets and calligraphy.
