Yörük Ali Efe Museum
The house in Yenipazar district center, where National Hero Yörük Ali Efe lived from his return from Izmir until his death, was completely burned in the fire that broke out in the 1980s. In 1995, the proposal of the Aydın Governorship to the Ministry of Culture was accepted and the heirs of Yörük Ali Efe donated the house to the Ministry of Culture on the condition that it be turned into a museum. Allotment procedures were completed in 1999. As a result of the restoration of the house in accordance with its original form and the arrangement of the garden, it has been made ready for display.
Personal belongings of Yörük Ali Efe were also donated to the museum by his heirs. In addition to the works transferred from the Aydın Museum Ethnography section, the exhibition works carried out with the materials purchased from the market and donated by the citizens by the Aydın Museum Valuation Commission were completed in a short time.
The tomb of Yörük Ali Efe, located in the Muslukuyu Cemetery, was moved to its place in the museum garden with the decision of the Council of Ministers. Yörük Ali House Museum was opened to visitors on 8 June 2001 as a unit under the Aydın Museum Directorate.
