Zonguldak Mining Museum
In order to perpetuate the culture of hard coal mining, which is the most important production source of our province, with a museum, the establishment of the Zonguldak Mining Museum was deemed appropriate with the proposal of our Governor's Office and the approval of our Ministry. Our city; Located in Merkez Çınartepe District, Bülent Ecevit Street, on section 33, block 129 and parcel 55 and allocated to the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums of our Ministry with the letter of the Ministry of Finance General Directorate of National Real Estate dated 29.08.2006 and numbered 38314. Zonguldak Mining Museum, which was built on the area, was put into service on 09.12.2016. In the said area, besides the museum building, there is a training center belonging to the TTK Occupational Safety and Training Department, a security booth at the entrance of the building and the area where the workshop and workshops are used by the staff of the Museum and Training Center. The garden was partially used as a display area. In addition, the process of moving the Mining Martyrs Monument in Zonguldak Port to the museum garden continues. The Museum Building consists of a foyer, exhibition halls, meeting hall, warehouses and administrative unit rooms. Coal-City Relationship is discussed in the foyer area. After a 10-minute Zonguldak presentation in the presentation room, the visitors, who are taken to the hall, are given historical and technical information about coal mining in Zonguldak. In the second floor showcases, materials related to occupational safety, topography, health, social care and educational books are exhibited. Coke derivatives of the third layer of coal, fossils and the formation of coal are explained.
