Hatila Valley National Park

It is located in the Eastern Black Sea Region, within the borders of Artvin province. It was declared a national park in 1994. Its surface area is 16,944 hectares.


Hatila Valley National Park starts at an altitude of 170 m and extends to an altitude of 3224 m. Thanks to this feature, it has rich biodiversity and unique visual beauty.


Hatila Valley, which has a V type, narrow base and deep character, draws attention with its botanical features as well as its geomorphological structure. With this character, it exhibits a rare nature in our country. Although it is located in the Black Sea Region, the valley, which also includes the plant species of the Mediterranean Region; It is home to mammals such as bears, foxes, wild goats, marten, badger, songbirds and raptors, and the famous Hopa Viper.
