Honaz Mountain National Park
Honaz Mountain National Park consists of Honaz Mountain and its surroundings, located within the borders of Denizli Honaz, Pamukkale and Serinhisar districts. Mount Honaz is the highest point of the Aegean Region with an altitude of 2,571 meters. The national park dominated by the Mediterranean climate; It shows rich features in terms of flora, fauna and geology. Due to the special climatic conditions of the mountain, which is covered with forests, plant diversity is rich and there are more plant species than other areas around it.
The national park also hosts rare endemic plant species, wild goat, wild boar, badger, fox, rabbit and badger, as well as 4 types of reptiles and 64 bird species. Honaz Mountain National Park shows a unique landscape feature in terms of rocky steep slopes, waterfalls and geological features. There is transportation opportunity from Honaz district center and Denizli-Antalya highway. There are daily accommodation facilities in and around the national park. There are many places suitable for hiking and camping.
