Karatepe Aslantas National Park
Karatepe - Aslantaş National Park was declared as Turkey's second and largest park in 1958. It was established on an area of 4,145 hectares. There are facilities that can meet the minimum social needs. In addition to many arrangements, new picnic areas and gazebos were built by the Directorate of Forestry and Water Affairs. This place, where the Aslantaş dam lake and the national park are intertwined, is one of the rare areas that makes people experience many natural beauties at the same time. Thanks to the established national park, some animal and tree species whose generations were on the verge of extinction were also saved from extinction. Karatepe - Aslantaş Open Air Museum, Turkey's first Open Air Museum, is in the National Park. It is possible to camp and picnic in the national park surrounding Aslantaş dam lake.
