Kizilkuyu National Park Wildlife Area
Kızılkuyu Wildlife Development Area consists of stony hills covered by limestone layers rising from south to north. Between these hills, seasonal streams extending towards the south of the site form partially alluvial depression plains. The limestone hills are covered with a thin soil cover and a limited amount of herbaceous plants.
Şanlıurfa Merkez Kızılkuyu Wildlife Development Area is located in an area that attracts attention with its unique plant geography and flora in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. The vegetation and plant species of the region have evolved in harmony with the climatic and geological conditions of the region. The characteristic vegetation and flora of the limestone hills can be observed in the site.
This site can host endemic plant species and function as an important habitat supporting the biodiversity of the region. At the same time, this unique flora and fauna play a role in maintaining the ecological balance and contributing to the sustainability of the local ecosystem.
