Marmaris Mountains National Park

Areas with important natural features in the park; Adaağzı area, Günnücek forest, Bedir, Keçi and Nimara islands have been declared as natural sites.

Plants

Of the 541 plants found in the area, 54 species are endemic, 9 species are endemic to the area, 5 species are endangered and 74 species are rare. The endemic sweetgum tree spreads along the coasts of the national park. Trees found in the national park area are as follows; red pine, black pine, Mediterranean cypress, kermes oak, gray cirnal oak, cirnal oak, dwarf juniper, hickory, wild olive, rosary, laurel, goat horn, sumac, menengiç and sandalwood.[3] As shrub and herb species in the park area; oleander, sage, spruce, fern, geven, heather, heather, chaste, fennel, thyme are found.

Endemic species found in the region are: Onopordum caricum, Globularia dumulosa, Pig's boll (Cyclamen trochopteranthum), Bellflower (Campanula Fruticulosa), Log tree (Liquidambar orientalis).

Animals

In the national park area; 112 bird species, 213 insect species, 35 fish, 21 mammals, 29 reptiles and 7 amphibians were identified. Some of the species identified in the region are as follows: Wild boar, wild goat, jackal, fox, caracal, badger, mouse, bear, snake species, hedgehog, hedgehog with arrow, lizards, hawk, pigeon, hawk, eagle, kestrel, island falcon, blackbird, blackbird, partridge, silver gull, thrush, island gull, black gull, black gull, chickadee, scarlet tanager, sparrow, titmouse, finch, goldfinch, black redstart.
