Hamsilos Nature Park

The coasts of the Black Sea, which are quite smooth, are disturbed by the protrusions formed by important headlands such as the Sinop Peninsula. The Sinop Peninsula consists of two extensions (peninsula), İnceburun, which is located at the northernmost tip of Turkey, and Boztepe (Island), where the city center of Sinop is located. Hamsilos Nature Park is located in the Inceburun extension. Hamsilos Nature Park; Hamsilos Bay (also known as Hamsaroz among the locals), which is one of the most beautiful examples of the ria type coastal formation in the Black Sea, where the sea that gives the park its name enters the land like a river, and two uniquely beautiful natural harbors such as Akliman Bay, swamp-dune-sea and forested areas. It is a natural wonder area that hosts rich biodiversity and is 14 kilometers from the city center. Hamsilos Nature Park, which is also a 1st Degree Natural Protected Area, is Turkey's 22nd Nature Park and is one of the most special areas of Sinop. Apart from İnceburun and Sarıkum Lakes, which are among the other attraction centers of Sinop, it is an area that many visitors to the city visit. Another attraction point of the Nature Park is Akliman Recreation Area, which was registered as a recreational area in 1987 and includes daily facilities that allow recreational use of these beauties as well as its landscape beauties. With the declaration of the area as a Nature Park, the status of a recreational area was removed and included within the borders of the Nature Park and named Akliman Daily Use Area.
