Koçkayası Nature Park
It is 65 km away from Giresun, 30 km from Dereli District, its altitude is 1840 mt. Transportation is provided by asphalt road. It takes its name from the Koçkayası Hill in the northwest and the Koçkayası and Küçükkoçkayası Streams that start from this hill and flow into the Cımbırtlık Stream. The park, which has three different ecosystems: Forest Ecosystem, Rock-River Ecosystem, Plateau-Pasture Ecosystem, is home to 136 plant species belonging to 64 different families and 160 vertebrate animal species. The historical feature of the Black Creek, which runs through the middle of the park, is the cemetery, which is said to have remained from the Seljuks. The Nature Park is on the bird migration routes.
