Tomara Waterfall
Tomara Waterfall is located within the borders of Şiran district of Gümüşhane province. It is located in the valley of the Tomara Stream, which is a branch of the Kelkit Stream. It takes its name from the annual Tomara (kaldirik) plant that grows in the surrounding area .
The waterfall is not like normal waterfalls that fall from the steepness of the slope, it flows from a sloping surface. The waters emerge from the hillside as a lush karst spring. It flows from the waters of the waterfall, 35 m wide and 15 high, and joins the Tomara Stream. The waters of the waterfall fall 18 m in the eastern part, 14 m in the middle part, and 22 m in the western part. The giant cauldron or lake of the waterfall has not developed.
It is near the village of Seydibaba, south of the district center. Its distance to Şiran is 21 km. It is on the NW slope of Ağagünyi Hill and SE of the valley of Tomara Stream.
