It is a narrow (8–10 km wide), long (approximately 170 km) and continuous mountain range stretching between Koruçam in the West and Zafer Cape in the East. It is also referred to as the Girne Mountains in some sources.
The height of the Beşparmak Mountains, which is of medium height, but very split by valleys and forms a barrier that is difficult to overcome, decreases as you go from west to east. Its highest point (1024 m) is Selvili Tepe.
