Büyükada

NaturePark Island / Adalar, Turkiye, Marmara, İstanbul (Anatolia)

Büyükada

Büyükada is the largest of the Princes' Islands in the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul, with an area of about 2 square miles (5 square kilometres). It is officially a neighbourhood in the Adalar (Islands) district of Istanbul Province, Turkey.

You can reach Büyükada, whose streets are only visited by islanders and nature lovers, with only a half-hour ferry ride from the mainland. When you are overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the city, it doesn't matter on weekdays or on the weekend, you can easily escape from the city by ferryboats, either daily or hourly, and return at night with the last ferry.
