Güver Cliff & Güver Canyon
Güver canyon (Güver cliff) is a canyon valley formed on Karst rocks located within the borders of Döşemealtı district in Antalya province. The length of the canyon is 2 km, its width is 20–30 m, and its height is 115 meters. Travertine rocks are common in the area. The travertines were deeply eroded under the influence of the waters coming from the Taurus Mountains, and the canyon was formed in approximately 1 million years. The canyon is located on the Döşemealtı Plateau with an altitude of 280-300 m. Güver Stream, Karaman Stream and Gürkavak Stream pass through the canyon.
The size of Güver Canyon Nature Park, established in the area in 2007, is 4044 ha. Güver Canyon Nature Park and Düzlerçamı Wildlife Development Area established in the field are the only areas in the world where red deer live naturally.
There is no accommodation facility in the area, which is 20 km away from Antalya. There are observation terraces in the canyon, and the last part gives a panoramic view of Antalya. Mediterranean climate vegetation is common in the surrounding area: maquis species such as Red Pine, Juniper, Holm Oak, Carob, Gum Tree and Heather are seen. As an animal community; Fallow deer, roe deer, mountain goat, wild boar, fox, badger, rabbit, turtle dove, eagle and falcon are seen.
