Kirmir Valley
Kirmir Valley covers the part of the Kirmir Stream, which takes its source from the Işık Mountains in the north of Kızılcahamam, starting from its junction with the Pazar Stream until it flows into the Sarıyar Dam, and the gypsum-clayey-marl hilly areas in and around Beypazarı. The valley formed by İnözü Stream, which mixes with Kirmir Stream in Beypazarı district, is also within the borders of the KBA. The Kirmir Stream, which settled on the gypsum-clay-marl sediments deposited on the lake bottom under very hot climatic conditions before the ice ages, continued to erode the area when it descended deeper into the layer formed by volcanic rocks such as basalt and andesite, creating split valleys that are of great importance for the breeding of birds today. . Kirmir Valley, which has warmer and more humid conditions than its surroundings, hosts many plant species that cannot survive in continental climate conditions.
