Mesir Nature Park
The official opening ceremony of the area, which was declared a nature park by the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs on 22 April 2008, was held on 22 May 2009. It has been operated by Yunusemre Municipality since 2015.
It is located in the Uncubozköy neighborhood of Yunusemre district of Manisa province, 2 km away from Manisa city center. It is located at the foot of Spil Mountain, near Manisa City Forest. The area has a surface area of 12.03 hectares and an altitude of 100-240 meters. The region's land consists of magmatic masses. The flora of Mesir Nature Park includes plane trees, oaks, holm oaks, willows, oleanders, red pine trees, astragalus, black poplar, laurel, redwood, fire thistle, forest ivy, astragalus and mountain medlar, and plants used to make mesir paste are also grown. A total of 92 species of plants grow. The fauna of Mesir Nature Park includes rabbits, partridges, foxes, wild boars, falcons, hawks, starlings, jays and songbirds.
