Uzungöl Lake
Uzungol is a landslide set lake located in Trabzon province of Turkey. It is located in Uzungöl District of Çaykara district. It was formed by the rocks falling from the slopes blocking the Haldizen creek. The lake is 1,000 m long, 500 m wide, and has an area of 500,000 ha, and its deepest point is 15 m. As a result of the sediment cleaning carried out in the lake by DSI in 2004, the lake area has grown by 67%. Uzungol is part of Uzungol Nature Park, which was declared on October 3, 1989.
