Yakamanastır Nature Park
One of the many picnic and recreation areas in Beyşehir, one of the charming districts of Konya, is Yakamanastır Nature Park. Yakamanastır is an extremely unique area within the forested land. It is also rumored that there are monastery ruins from the Byzantine period in this area, which is thought to be named Yakamanastır because it is located on the other side of Manastır Village of Beyşehir. However, the fame of this place must be due to the fresh waters boiling at several points, rather than the ruins mentioned. In this area, which was designed as a recreation area by the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks of the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, all kinds of service areas, from fountains to barbecues, from toilets to masjids, have been established for citizens to have picnics. There is also a fish restaurant and bungalow-type houses that can be rented on a daily or weekly basis.
