Barbare Vineyard

The story of Barbare began in 2000 when Can Topsakal, who was a restaurant manager after university education in France and became friends with the owner of Chateau Cabrieres and Chateau Maucoil in the Chateau-neuf-du-pape region, wanted to enter the wine business, which is his passion. As a result of soil and microclimate research from Çeşme to Tekirdağ, it was decided on the 230-decare Barbare Vineyards with its soil and location suitable for viticulture, and this adventure started with Xavier Vignon, who is also the consultant of important castles in France.

We set out with the main philosophy of "giving back to soil what is taken from the soil"; In our vineyards where we cultivate using organic, sustainable and biodynamic methods, besides the production team of 10, approximately 60 women work in the vineyards periodically during pruning, tying, reduction and vintage periods. This creates a new business area for the people of the region.
