Kral Pestil has been operating under the umbrella of Büyükbayraktar Gıda San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. since 2002, under the name “Kral Natural Products,” in a 12,000 m² production facility located in the organized industrial zone. The company continues to pursue its goal of “delivering natural products from nature to consumers without altering them” by adding chocolate pestil, fruit jams, herbal and fruit teas, Turkish delight, halva, and baklava to its product range. Our vision is to expand our service, currently offered through widespread sales points, to the shelves of major supermarkets, to enter international markets, and to become a favorite taste for more people.
The Büyükbayraktar brothers, as a family, have been producing pestil, köme, and pekmez—traditional foods indispensable during the winter months—on a household scale in Gümüşhane since 1950. In 1974, they expanded production to a commercial scale, extended production to 12 months a year, and began manufacturing under the KRAL brand. Turkey and the world have come to know these products under the Kral brand. By 2000, they had transitioned to modern facilities for the production of these traditional foods. They were the first in our country to export these products. Kaya Büyükbayraktar has established many businesses operating in this sector, which he has brought to our province and our country, and the fame of pestil and köme has grown rapidly. As the KRAL family, while increasing capacity to meet growing demand, they have established the KRAL brand in A-class and elite sales points. On the other hand, they have obtained ISO 9001, HACCP certificates, and Halal Certification, entering thousands of sales points with their registered new brands, thereby increasing their brand power.
