Sargın Höşmerimleri
Höşmerim, which is known to have been first built by Anatolian Yoruks who migrated from Central Asia, is especially the symbol of Havran district of Balıkesir. Also known as cheese halva or cheese dessert, the dessert also found its place in Evliya Çelebi's Seyahatname. Evliya Çelebi explained that this dessert was also seen in the first Turkmen nomads who settled in Balıkesir, and that it passed to Havran from there.
