The Turkish Taste That Sweetens the World” started as a Turkish dessert, the story of the world-famous Turkish delight. Known in Anatolia since the 15th century, Turkish delight was introduced into the Ottoman palace kitchen by the masters of Afyonkarahisar in the 17th century.
It was presented to the whole world with his edict. Known by many nations as “luama” and by others as “lokumi” or “algum”, Turkish delight became known in the world by taking the name “Turkish Delight” through an English traveler in the 18th century.
